Terms of Use

1. Overview

FlipBot (@Marketplaceflipbot) is a Telegram-based consignment listing service. By using the bot, you agree to these terms. FlipBot lists your items for sale on established marketplace accounts (eBay, and additional platforms as they become available). You retain ownership of your items until they are sold.

2. How It Works

You send photos and details of your item to the bot. AI generates a listing draft which you review and approve. Once approved, the item is listed on our marketplace account. When the item sells, you receive your payout minus applicable fees.

3. Fees

  • Marketplace fees (~13%): Standard platform selling fees charged by eBay or other marketplaces. These are non-negotiable and set by the platform.
  • FlipBot service fee (10%): Covers AI API costs, server hosting, infrastructure, account management, and dispute handling.
  • Your payout (~77%): The remaining amount after marketplace and service fees.

There are no listing fees, no upfront costs, and no charges if your item does not sell. Fees are only deducted when a sale is completed.

4. Item Condition & Honesty Policy

You are required to accurately represent the condition of every item you list. This includes:

  • Disclosing all flaws, stains, tears, fading, or damage
  • Providing clear photos of any defects
  • Selecting the correct condition category (New, Like New, Good, Acceptable)
  • Not misrepresenting brand, size, material, or any other item details

Violation of this policy may result in permanent removal from the service. Our marketplace accounts depend on trust and positive feedback. Dishonest listings put the entire service at risk for all users.

5. Disputes & Returns

If a buyer opens a dispute (item not as described, undisclosed defect, etc.):

  • You are responsible. If the dispute is caused by inaccurate item representation on your part, the financial responsibility falls on you.
  • eBay (or the applicable marketplace) makes the final decision on all disputes. Their ruling is final.
  • If the marketplace sides with the buyer, your payout for that item may be reduced or withheld entirely.
  • If a return is issued, any return shipping costs may be deducted from your payout.
  • Repeated disputes may result in removal from the service.

6. Shipping

  • If shipping costs are incurred on a sale, the seller (you) is responsible for shipping costs.
  • Shipping costs are either deducted from your payout or paid directly, depending on the arrangement with the admin.
  • Items must be shipped promptly after a sale to maintain account standing.

7. Payouts

  • Payouts are processed after the item is sold and the buyer has received it.
  • Payouts are handled by the admin and sent to you directly.
  • Payout timing depends on marketplace payment processing and may take several days after a sale.
  • You can check your pending payout at any time using the /mysales command.

8. Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal:

  • Misrepresenting item condition, brand, or authenticity
  • Listing counterfeit or stolen goods
  • Attempting to manipulate pricing, feedback, or marketplace algorithms
  • Any activity that violates eBay's or other marketplace's terms of service
  • Abusing the bot or its systems in any way

9. Account Access

  • Access to FlipBot is invite-only and granted at the admin's discretion.
  • Access can be revoked at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these terms.
  • Items listed on our marketplace accounts are managed by FlipBot. You do not have direct access to the marketplace accounts.

10. Liability

FlipBot is provided as-is. We make reasonable efforts to ensure listings are accurate and the service runs smoothly, but:

  • We are not liable for AI errors in listing suggestions — you review and approve everything before it goes live.
  • We are not liable for marketplace outages, policy changes, or account actions taken by eBay or other platforms.
  • We are not liable for items lost or damaged in shipping.
  • Maximum liability is limited to the service fee (10%) collected on the specific transaction in question.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the bot after changes constitutes acceptance. Major changes will be communicated via Telegram.
